Job summary

Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic is seeking a nursing faculty member to support Mercy College in preparing students for health sciences careers. The role involves teaching, supervision, and evaluation within clinical settings, plus advisement and collaboration with clinical partners.

The position emphasizes mentoring of new faculty and applying innovative teaching strategies to develop clinical competence and professional growth for students and staff.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing or BSN required.
• Three years’ consecutive nursing experience as needed by Mercy College at hire.
• Current and valid RN licensure.
• Demonstrated ability to manage, lead or train others.
• Ability to use varied and innovative classroom/clinical teaching strategies.

Responsibilities

• Teach, supervise and evaluate student learning in clinical or lab settings.
• Provide advisement and guidance for students’ intellectual and professional development.
• Collaborate with faculty, preceptors, and clinical agencies to optimize learning opportunities.
• Mentor new or inexperienced faculty as appropriate.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
