Job summary

Alamo Colleges District invites applications for a full-time Faculty Instructor (Associate Degree Nursing). The instructor will deliver quality nursing education, guiding students in alignment with the college’s mission and values.

The successful candidate must hold a Master’s degree as described and have at least three years of nursing experience, including diverse practice areas, with responsibilities under the discipline coordinator and department chair.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in the teaching discipline or a Master's degree in another field with at least 18 hours post-graduate studies in the teaching discipline.
• Have been actively employed in nursing for at least three (3) years or have advanced preparation in nursing, nursing education, and/or nursing administration.
• Have three (3) years varied nursing experiences since graduation.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill the institution’s mission by providing quality education to students attending the colleges.
• Act as leader, teacher, adviser, mentor, and facilitator of learning within the department.
