Paul D. Camp Community College is a small 2-year college in Southeast Virginia. Campuses are located in Franklin and Suffolk. There also is a center in Smithfield. The college offers associate degrees, certificates, and career studies certificates In transfer and career/technical programs; credit and non-credit workforce services and training for businesses and industries; special interest classes for the community; and summer classes for youth through the Regional Workforce Development Center. A dual enrolment program for high school students, online courses, and developmental studies classes are available at the college as well.
This position is restricted. The funding through the rural health transformation grants and is funding positions to expand the instruction of nursing students in the practical and associate degree programs.
Paul D Camp Community College is in search of part-time Nursing instructors interested in supporting the college's mission, which is to provide diverse learning opportunities to enhance the quality of life for students and the community. Working with ADN nursing students in the clinical and lab setting, while meeting specific learning needs, dependent upon the students' educational semester. The clinical instructor/lab/didactic will be responsible for all modules and orientation related to the assigned facility. The instructor must provide positive, professional representation of the college at all times, while maintaining a supportive role for the students. The position is to develop and support the nursing programs with a focus on the part-time, evening and weekend program.
