Job summary

Atlas Search is seeking an experienced Night/House Supervisor to lead nursing operations on the overnight shift in New Jersey. You will coordinate staffing, ensure safety, and act as the clinical and operational point of escalation across units while maintaining regulatory standards.

The ideal candidate holds a BSN, NJ RN license, BLS/ACLS, IV certification, and demonstrates strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to support high-quality, compassionate patient care overnight.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required; MSN preferred.
• Current NJ RN licensure.

• Ability to manage emergencies and multitask across departments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the go-to resource and decision-maker for clinical and operational issues across the facility during night shift.
• Oversee staffing levels and adjust schedules to maintain safe coverage across units.
• Act as liaison between nursing units, clinical leadership, and ancillary departments to resolve issues in real time.
• Monitor compliance with professional standards and identify staff education needs.
• Investigate and document unit occurrences with timely follow-up and communication.
• Support quality assurance and performance improvement by identifying patient care issues.
• Provide leadership during emergencies or crisis situations, including disaster response.
• Supervise staff, including input on hiring, performance evaluations, and disciplinary matters.
• Communicate updates and best practices to unit staff through meetings and channels.
• Maintain departmental records and data for administrative and regulatory purposes.
• Support budget awareness and recommend efficiency improvements in nursing operations.
• Uphold organizational policies, safety standards, and infection control protocols.

What you’ll be doing:

• Investigating and documenting unit occurrences, ensuring timely follow-up and communication
• Supporting quality assurance and performance improvement efforts by identifying patient care issues and helping implement monitors
• Providing leadership during emergencies or crisis situations, including internal/external disaster response
• Supervising staff, including input on hiring, performance evaluations, and disciplinary matters as needed
• Communicating important updates and best practices to unit staff through meetings and other channels
• Maintaining accurate departmental records and statistical data for administrative and regulatory purposes
• Supporting budget awareness and recommending efficiency improvements within nursing operations

What we’re looking for:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required (MSN preferred)
• Current NJ RN licensure
• BLS/ACLS certification required
• IV certification required

• Ability to assist with patient handling/transfers as needed
