The administrator partners with the Director of Nursing and department heads, ensures staffing, safety, and QAPI processes, and maintains high standards of resident care, regulatory compliance, and family engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator.
• Must be licensed per state regulations and attend continuing education.
• Must read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Follow company Administrative Policies
• Conduct all relevant committee meetings as required
• Collaborate with Director of Nursing and department heads to meet goals
• Collaborate with Medical Director and Director of Rehab
• Ensure staffing levels across departments meet patient/resident needs
• Ensure QAPI process is understood and utilized by management
• Interact with customers, families, visitors, external facilities staff, and area personnel
• Consult with departments to address problem areas and use QAPI to improve performance
• Create an environment focused on patient and staff safety
• Conduct required fire and disaster drills and maintain compliance with safety laws
• Maintain facility physical plant and environment at a high level
• Demonstrate tact, professionalism, and a positive attitude toward residents, staff, families, and vendors

A Skilled Nursing Facility located in Simsbury, CT seeks a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator to join its leadership team.

Whilecreating an environment where staff members are highly engaged and focused on providing the highest level of clinical care and compassion to patients, residents, and families. The Licensed Nursing Home Administratorassures that the facility operates in full compliance with Federal and State regulations.

TheLicensed Nursing Home Administrator is responsible for planning and is accountable for all activities and departments, subject to the rules and regulations set forth by government agencies to ensure proper health care services to residents, while ensuring that the highest degree of quality of care is consistently provides to residents.

Responsibilities:

• Follow company Administrative Policies
• Conducts all relevant committee meetings as required
• Works in close collaboration with the Director of Nursing and department heads to assure departmental goals are met
• Works in close collaboration with the Medical Director and Director of Rehab
• Assures that staffing levels in all departments are appropriate to meet the needs of all patients and residents.
• Assures that the QAPI process is understood and utilized by all members of the administrative team
• Interacts with customers, families, visitors, external facilities/staff, and area personnel
• Confers with consultants to various departments concerning problem areas and utilizes the Q.A.P.I. process to improve performance
• Creates an environment that is focused on patient and staff safety
• Conducts required fire and disaster drills and maintains compliance with legal, safety, health, fire, and sanitation code
• Assures all aspects of the facility physical plant and environment are maintained at a high level
• Displays tact, professionalism, and a positive attitude towards residents, staff, families, and vendors

Required:

• Previous experience as a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator
• Qualified Administrator must be licensed according to state regulations and must attend continuing education as required.
• This position requires that the employee is able to read, write, speak and understand the English language
