Job summary

Grand Canyon University in Jacksonville, FL, is seeking a full-time Foundations Lab/Clinical Nursing Faculty Member. You will reinforce didactic content in clinical and lab settings for pre-licensure nursing students and collaborate with faculty to document progress.

Requirements include an MSN, 2 years of direct patient care nursing, and an active Florida or compact-state RN license. Prior collegiate teaching is preferred; travel to clinical sites is required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required (MSN) in nursing.
• Two years of direct patient care nursing experience.
• Active, current, and unencumbered RN license in Florida or a compact state.

Responsibilities

• Reinforce didactic content and teach in clinical and lab contexts for pre-licensure nursing.
• Collaborate with content area faculty to document student progress toward objectives.
• Participate in grading written and clinical/lab performances.
• Maintain communication with program faculty and director; attend select meetings.
• Stay current with trends in nursing practice and accreditation requirements.
