Job summary

College of the Mainland seeks an Associate‑Level, full‑time faculty member for the Vocational Nursing program. The role requires a BSN and a TX RN license (or eligibility), with duties spanning教学与 curriculum development across the Department of Nursing.

The incumbent will teach courses, manage clinical scheduling, and provide student advisement while maintaining licensure and engaging in college service. MSN preferred and prior community college teaching is valued.

Qualifications

• BSN required for faculty appointment.
• MSN preferred; with MSN, candidate may teach in any nursing program within the department.
• At least one year of teaching experience in a community college setting.
• Current Texas RN license or eligibility for licensure.
• Active nursing practice within the past three years.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction in nursing courses, develop and revise curriculum, and prepare online learning materials.
• Coordinate and supervise clinical schedules for students and ensure safe patient care.
• Offer a minimum of 7.5 scheduled office hours per week for student consultation.
• Participate in college and departmental committees and attend meetings.
• Engage in student orientation and advisement activities as needed.
• Assist in program improvement and maintain licensure requirements.
