Job summary

College of the Mainland is seeking an Assistant Professor of Nursing (12 months) to provide instruction across the Nursing programs, including ADN and VN tracks. Responsibilities include curriculum development, student advisement, and service on college committees.

The role requires a Texas RN license (or eligibility) and active nursing practice within the last three years. The position is full-time in a faculty role, with duties spanning classroom, lab, and clinical coordination, and includes

Qualifications

• MSN required; Texas RN license or eligible for Texas licensure.
• Consistent active nursing experience in past 3 years.
• PhD/Doctoral degree preferred for teaching community college programs.

Responsibilities

• Comply with College of the Mainland and Nursing Department policies to ensure a positive learning environment.
• Prepare teaching/learning activities to promote clinical judgement.
• Develop and revise curriculum and course work.
• Prepare online learning platform for courses.
• Meet clinical assignments and coordinate schedules for assigned agencies.
