Nursing Faculty – Medical Surgical

The Nursing Department of the University of South Dakota (USD) invites applications for a 9‑month full‑time faculty position for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program at the Vermillion campus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality classroom and clinical instruction.
• Guide students in the development of clinical judgment.
• Contribute to curriculum design and evaluation.

• Strong clinical expertise in medical‑surgical nursing.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in medical‑surgical nursing.
• Experience teaching in a baccalaureate program.
• Strong nursing background with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team.
• Ability to work with technology.

Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. Sponsorship is not available for this position.

Salary and faculty rank will be commensurate with experience and academic credentials.

Schedule: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday with occasional adjustments; 40 hours per week.
