Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in the teaching or professional discipline with minimum of eighteen graduate hours in the teaching discipline and three years of college teaching experience, or
• Terminal degree/certificate in the professional discipline with work or teaching experience equivalent to three years of college teaching, or
• Earned doctorate from an accredited institution in teaching or professional discipline and evidence of potential ability in instruction.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates creation of a learning environment that encourages critical thinking and respect for individual strengths.
• Advises and tutors students and evaluates progress toward program outcomes.
• Demonstrates professionalism, scholarship and current trends in the discipline.
• Participates in departmental and university teamwork and committees.
• Performs other accountabilities as assigned or directed.
