Job summary

Dalton State College's School of Health Professions invites applicants for a full-time (10 month), Lecturer/tenure-track Assistant Professor of Nursing beginning January 1, 2027. Responsibilities include teaching the nursing sequence, advising students, curriculum development, assessment of learning, and service to campus and community.

Appointments may be day, evening, off-campus or online. A master's degree is required; a doctoral degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to teach face-to-face, hybrid, and online classrooms.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate nursing courses with clinical responsibilities; 24–30 credit hours per academic year.
• Advise students each semester and assist with graduation applications and career placement.
• Participate in committees and engage in service to college, school, and community.
