Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an advanced nursing practice leader to drive education, mentorship, and evidence-based standards across the enterprise. The role focuses on improving nursing performance, standardizing procedures, and implementing best practices in collaboration with the Professional Development team.

The candidate will maintain regulatory-compliant curricula and care plans while providing clinical leadership, ongoing evaluation, and point-of-care support to nursing staff.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• Master of Nursing degree required.
• 3+ years of Operating Room and/or acute/critical care RN experience.
• CT and NYS RN license/registration required.
• AHA BLS, PALS, ACLS certifications required.
• Certification preferred, must be obtained within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Advance nursing practice across the enterprise through education, mentorship, and integration of evidence-based standards.
• Identify opportunities to enhance nursing performance, standardize procedures, and implement best practices.
• Implement theory-based professional practices and evaluate, develop, and promote care plans.
• Serve as a resource and mentor to nursing staff.
• Maintain current curricula, policies, and procedures in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Generate data-driven plans using research methods to improve clinical practice.
• Provide clinical leadership, education, ongoing evaluation, and direct observation of nursing practice.
• Support nursing leadership in anticipating educational needs based on patient outcomes and nurse performance data.
• Provide point-of-care clinical support to nursing staff.
• Collaborate with the Professional Development team on orientation, onboarding, competency, RN Residency, and Fellowship programs.
• Support integration of Magnet standards into the nursing infrastructure.
