Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in nursing required; Doctoral degree preferred.
• Active New York State Registered Nurse license
• Specialty certification preferred, required for the graduate level
• 3 years of teaching experience at the collegiate level desired
• 5 years of clinical experience preferred
• Experience with simulation recommended
• Strong communication, organizational, teaching, leadership, and time management skills
• Commitment to inclusive, student-centered teaching and mentoring

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction to Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, and Doctor of Nursing Practice students.
• Update syllabi and ensure materials are current on Canvas.
• Instruct, develop, distribute, monitor, and grade student assignments.
• Create innovative curricula using experiential pedagogies and adult learning theory.
• Participate in curriculum development, design, implementation, and evaluation.
• Attend meetings and participate in governance, as well as recruitment events.
