Job summary

Lee Health seeks a Nursing Professional Development Specialist to oversee education and competency validation for assigned units at HealthPark Medical Center in Fort Myers, FL. You will design and deliver learning programs to advance clinical excellence and staff development across campus and units.

Required BSN; MSN preferred, 3+ years clinical nursing, 1 year nursing education preferred; Florida RN licensure and BLS. Relocation incentive and housing assistance offered for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• BSN required; MSN preferred.
• A minimum of three years full-time clinical nursing experience.
• One year of full-time nursing education experience preferred.
• Current Florida RN Licensure.
• Certification in Nursing Professional Development (NPD-BC) or Certified Nursing Education (CNE) preferred.
• BLS required, current for at least the first 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate development of clinical excellence through orientation, training, staff development, and competency validation.
• Design, organize, implements learning programs to develop direct care providers' skills and standards of care.
• Collaborate in interdisciplinary performance improvement teams to enhance safety and satisfaction.
