Job summary

Cleveland Clinic’s Fairview Campus is seeking a Nursing Professional Development Specialist to advance evidence-based practice and education across the nursing staff. The role will be based at Fairview and travel to other locations to support departments, teams, and caregivers.

The successful candidate will design and evaluate educational offerings, identify learning needs, and develop department orientations. A BSN with RN licensure is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• BSN required and current RN licensure.
• Two years of recent nursing experience with preceptor duties.
• Knowledge of education methods: needs assessment, curriculum development.
• Strong presentation and teaching skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, direct, implement, and evaluate nursing education offerings.
• Identify learning needs of nursing staff and develop programs.
• Develop evaluation systems to measure teaching effectiveness.
• Consult with Nursing Institute and Ambulatory Nursing on practice and roles.
• Assist in department orientation and staff onboarding.
• Create and maintain a resource catalog for teaching materials.
