Qualifications

• Bachelor’s (BSN) or Master’s degree with a major in nursing (MSN) required; graduate degree preferred and must be obtained within five years of initial full-time employment.
• Education concentration preferred, but candidates with a BSN or MSN in a different concentration must provide additional education evidence.
• Minimum three years of clinical nursing practice as an RN; valid NC RN license; immunizations current.
• Ability to teach, manage multiple priorities, and work in a collaborative team in a diverse environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction to students with a workload consistent with full-time instructor expectations.
• Design and implement instructional activities and ensure content covers approved competencies.
• Fulfill duties of clinical or lab instruction in supervision of students.
• Maintain records (attendance, grades, learning outcomes) and evaluate student performance.
• Assist advisees and stay proficient in program requirements; participate in advising activities.
• Adhere to institutional policies and NC Board of Nursing and ACEN guidelines.
