Job summary

Mount Carmel College of Nursing, part of Trinity Health, is seeking an instructor to teach nursing students and maintain academic records. The role advises students in academic matters and supports curriculum development within the department.

The successful candidate will hold a bachelor's degree in a related discipline (BSN), with a master's preferred, Ohio RN licensure, and CPR certification as applicable. Two years of related teaching experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in related discipline required (e.g., BSN).
• Master's degree in appropriate discipline preferred.
• License / Certification: Must hold a current active unrestricted licensure in the State of Ohio, as applicable.
• CPR certification required with RN licensure, if applicable.
• Experience: A minimum of at least two years in the related field.
• Teaching experience in collegiate or university setting preferred.
• Experience in curriculum development preferred.
• Effective Communication Skills
• Active in professional and community organizations.

Responsibilities

• Exhibits Mount Carmel Service Excellence Behavior Standards and promotes a Culture of Safety.
• Supervises, evaluates, and advises students in classroom, laboratory, and clinical experiences.
• Maintains records according to FERPA and confidentiality standards.
• Mentors new faculty.
• Participates in College committees and College functions.
