Job summary

The University of Texas Medical Branch School of Nursing at Galveston invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track faculty position in the Undergraduate program, at the rank of Assistant Professor of Instruction.

Ideal candidates will have university teaching experience, clinical expertise in medical/surgical, community and population health or adult & family health, and a demonstrated program of scholarship.

Qualifications

• University-level teaching experience preferred.
• Clinical nursing experience in medical/surgical, community and population health, or adult & family health.
• Defined program of scholarship or scholarly activity.

Responsibilities

• Use innovative teaching methodologies in classroom and online settings.
• Participate in course design, development, implementation and evaluation.
• Maintain academic excellence in education, practice and/or research.
• Serve as academic advisor to students.
• Demonstrate leadership within a defined area of nursing practice.
• Engage in scholarship and disseminate findings through publications and presentations.
