Job summary

Northside Hospital in Georgia seeks a nursing education leader to coordinate development and implementation of education and training programs to enhance staff professional growth. You will model clinical excellence and lead programs for clinical staff development across units.

Responsibilities include administering needs-based education programs, implementing standards of care, and maintaining unit-specific quality and accreditation programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited school of nursing or related field.
• Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
• Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate development and implementation of education and training programs to enhance staff professional growth.
• Functions as a role model of excellence in nursing knowledge and clinical practice.
• Administers staff development programs through needs assessment and implements education and training programs for clinical staff.
• Develops and implements training and maintains established standards of care through quality improvement activities.
• Maintains unit-specific quality, accreditation, and clinical competency programs.
• Responsibilities involve providing staff instruction on the collection of data, assisting with the development and implementation of clinical guidelines, and serving as a resource to departmental and other hospital staff.
