Job summary

Larkin Community Hospital invites applications for a School of Nursing Student Service Coordinator to provide comprehensive academic advising and oversee nursing students’ progress from education through professional entry.

The role includes advising, course planning, record maintenance, licensure guidance, and coordination of orientation and student activities within the nursing program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing, Education, Counseling, Psychology or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in academic coordination or nursing education preferred.
• Proficiency in student information systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong understanding of nursing education curriculum and career pathways.

Responsibilities

• Provides accurate and timely academic advising to nursing students.
• Assists students in understanding program requirements, course selection, and scheduling.
• Maintains accurate and confidential student files and generates transcripts.
• Supports RN NCLEX application process and licensure examination preparation.
• Ensures compliance with accrediting body standards and participates in accreditation reporting.
• Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and communication abilities and liaises between students, faculty and staff.
• Plans and implements orientation sessions and workshops; oversees nursing student activities.
