Job description

The Director is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and managing resources for one to two department(s) on a twenty-four (24) hour basis. These responsibilities include:

1. Budget responsibility
2. Efficient and effective resource utilization
3. Recruitment and management of staff
4. Achieving quality outcomes
5. Performance improvement
6. Monitoring quality and quantity of services
7. Maintaining positive relationships with staff and other departments
8. Purchasing and maintaining equipment

Completes established competencies for the position within the designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

Preferred Education: Master's Degree in Nursing, Business, or a related field

Minimum Experience: 5 years in discipline or specialty

Preferred Experience: 3-5 years of progressively responsible management experience

Required Certifications / Licensure: Current Texas State License for Registered Nurse

Preferred Certifications / Licensure: Specialty or Administration certification

Required Courses / Completions: Active healthcare provider Basic Life Support (ARC or AHA); must obtain AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire
