Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center in Denver is seeking a Registered Nurse to lead medical operations across our treatment network. You will supervise nursing and medical support staff, ensure high-quality patient care, and coordinate care between medical, clinical, and UR teams, pharmacies, and external providers.

The role emphasizes leadership, collaboration, and thorough charting, with a focus on program integrity and compliance.

Qualifications

• Min. one year experience in substance use treatment field preferred.
• Valid licensure to practice nursing in-state, or compact licensure with multistate privileges (RN).
• Excellent oral and written communication and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality, compassionate, and timely medical care for every client.
• Coordinate client care between medical/clinical departments, UR team, external providers, and pharmacies.
• Oversee medication inventory, logs, authorizations, lab shipments/reports, and medical supplies/equipment.
• Direct nursing and medical support staff: interviews, onboarding, training, scheduling, retention, HR needs, and performance reviews.
• Maintain medical workflow processes and review protocols/operations.
• Ensure quality medical documentation and charting through weekly chart reviews.
