Job summary

Covenant Place is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) to oversee clinical care services, staff training, and regulatory compliance within our senior living community. The DON ensures high-quality resident care, safety, and a supportive, homelike environment, partnering with residents, families, and healthcare providers.

The ideal candidate is an experienced RN with strong leadership, regulatory knowledge, and a passion for advancing senior care services.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing with state board (required).
• 1+ year of management experience in long-term care or senior services (required).
• Experience with dementia/cognitive care preferred.
• Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations for senior care services.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with documentation, electronic medical records, and healthcare software.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Compassion and desire to work with the elderly.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee all resident care and ensure compliance with company policies and state regulations.
• Recruit, train, and supervise care staff to maintain high-quality services and regulatory standards.
• Maintain regulatory compliance, infection control practices, and medication management.
• Conduct resident assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Monitor quality of care to ensure dignity and privacy; participate in audits and surveys.
• Oversee medication administration, staff competency, and documentation requirements.
• Communicate with residents, families, physicians, and providers to address concerns.
• Lead the community's emergency response procedures.
