Job summary

Montefiore Medical Group is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing for the School Health Program in Bronx, NY. You will lead nursing teams across 33 school-based health centers, oversee patient care quality, and drive staff development within a multidisciplinary school health leadership team.

You will collaborate with MMG Nurse Leadership, ensure regulatory compliance, and guide day-to-day ambulatory nursing operations while maintaining a patient-centered care environment.

Qualifications

• Valid New York State RN license and current registration.
• BSN required; MS preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of management experience as RN.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to apply balanced scorecard measures.
• Experience with Joint Commission and infection control standards.
• Oversee nursing staff and day-to-day ambulatory care operations.

Responsibilities

• Participates in the development and management of Quality Improvement projects, incorporating standards of care per Joint Commission, Infection Prevention Control, NYS DOH and other regulatory guidelines.
• Assist the Director of Nursing Services in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the day-to-day functions of the nursing, per current rules and guidelines.
• Assist to hire and monitor nursing staff and other support staff activities.
• Identify with CCNCs and providers patient action plan to ensure safe and timely management of patients.
• Serve as clinical resource person for CCNCs.
