Job summary

Cantex Continuing Care Network in Flower Mound, TX is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing Services to assist the Director in supervising daily nursing operations and ensuring compliant, high-quality resident care.

In this role you will help coordinate treatments, medications, and care plans, lead nursing teams, participate in evaluations and policy enforcement, and ensure safety and regulatory adherence across the facility.

Qualifications

• A current and valid license is maintained in the applicable State.
• Minimum of two years charge nurse and supervisory experience in a long term care setting is preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate the day-to-day nursing care for patients/residents in accordance with state and federal rules, regulations, and standard nursing practices.
• Ensure treatments, medications, and nursing services align with each patient/resident care plan and physician orders.
• Participate in annual evaluation and disciplinary processes per policy as needed.
• Coordinate essential weekly and monthly committee meetings per Clinical Policies and Procedures and Care Management Systems.
• Conduct frequent rounds to ensure staff perform essential functions per policy and regulations.
• Document and report patient health changes to attending physicians and families promptly.
• Serve as a Team Leader/Role Model and take calls as needed by the facility.
• Ensure Nursing Service personnel comply with all procedures and policies.
