Job summary

Genesis HealthCare, Inc. is seeking a Nursing Supervisor to lead nursing staff, manage departmental budgets, and ensure high-quality patient care in a long-term care setting. The role requires an RN license and several years of clinical and supervisory experience.

You will conduct rounds, review care plans, ensure policy compliance, and provide ongoing in-service training to nursing personnel, helping to optimize patient outcomes and staff performance within the facility.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current RN licensure by the State Board of Nursing.
• Minimum five years full-time or equivalent clinical experience.
• At least two years of nursing supervision in the long-term care setting.

Responsibilities

• Direct, plan, and coordinate service activities of professional nursing and auxiliary nursing personnel in rendering patient care.
• Collaborate with the Nursing Home Administrator to develop, allocate and control the budget for the Department of Nursing Services.
• Complete daily rounds on the units to observe patients and determine if nursing needs are being met.
• Review nursing progress notes to ensure they are informative and reflect the customer response to the plan of care.
• Interpret nursing center policies and regulations to all nursing personnel and ensure compliance; analyze and evaluate services to improve quality of care and efficiency.
• Ensure the provision of in-service training programs for nursing personnel.
