Job summary

Allure of Zion is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (RN) to lead the skilled nursing facility’s nursing department. The DON will drive regulatory compliance, quality of care, and interdepartmental collaboration.

The successful candidate will oversee staffing, clinical performance, and staff development, while partnering with administration and medical leadership to enhance resident outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current Illinois RN license.
• Minimum 3 years of nursing leadership or supervisory experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong knowledge of skilled nursing regulations (CMS/IDPH).
• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the nursing department and set strategic direction.
• Ensure CMS/IDPH and survey readiness and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, and staffing mix across shifts.
• Mentor RNs, LPNs, CNAs and nursing leadership; foster teamwork.
• Monitor clinical outcomes and implement quality improvement.
• Collaborate with MDS, therapy, dietetics, and other departments.
