Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with 3–5 years of nursing administration experience in a geriatric setting.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Iowa.
• Knowledgeable in nursing/medical practices and long-term care regulations and guidelines.
• Strong supervisory/leadership skills to develop/supervise nursing personnel in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, oversee, and assist with staffing schedules for the households.
• Provide input on performance evaluations and actions on employee complaints or terminations.
• Develop and update policies and procedures governing day-to-day nursing operations with the Nursing Director.
• Report to the Director of Nursing on operations of the nursing staff.
• Evaluate health care services for residents and discuss care plans with residents and families.
