Job summary

Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester, MA is seeking an innovative healthcare leader to drive nursing excellence across multi-unit operations. This role provides leadership to support the Chief Nursing Officer and ensures delivery of high-quality, safe patient care while managing resources efficiently.

The position requires an active MA RN license, 2 years of progressive management experience in a hospital setting, and an BSN or higher.

  • Active and current registered nurse license in the state of residence/practice (MA).
  • 2 years of progressive management experience in a hospital environment as a manager or full-time charge nurse/related position.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a health care related field or a BSN (or higher) required; MSN preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership and support to the senior executive position (CNO) responsible for all nursing and other designated patient care functions/services within the hospital organization.
  • Assists in assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing practice on a multi-unit level.

Job Summary
This position is eligible for a $20,000 Sign-On Bonus!

This role provides leadership and support to the senior executive position (CNO) responsible for all nursing and other designated patient care functions/services within the hospital organization. The role will assume responsibility for assisting in assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing practice on a multi-unit level. Role assumes 24/7 responsibility of Director’s assigned areas. The role is accountable to support CNO to ensure high quality, safe and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and appropriate resource management related to patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Has highly effective interpersonal and communication skills, proven leadership ability and hospital operational ability, and ability to serve as role model and advocate for the professional discipline of nursing.
  • Active and current registered nurse license in the state of residence/practice
  • Provides leadership and support to the senior executive position (CNO) responsible for all nursing and other designated patient care functions/services within the hospital organization.
  • Will assume responsibility for assisting in assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing practice on a multi-unit level
  • Accountable to support CNO to ensure high quality, safe and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and appropriate resource management related to patient care.
  • Other related duties as required
Qualifications
Required
  • Education: Associate degree from an accredited nursing school with a bachelor's degree in a health care related field or a BSN.
  • Experience: 2 years of progressive management experience in a hospital environment as a manager or full-time charge nurse/related position.
  • Certification/License: Currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice profession as required by law, regulation in state of practice or policy; CPR.
Preferred
  • Education: MSN or master’s in a health care related field.
