In this leadership role you will ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines while supporting staff on the floor and overseeing day-to-day operations.

The DON will collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans, review payroll, maintain records, and mentor staff to improve

Qualifications

• Holds a current RN license in good standing in Texas.
• Proven leadership experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing.
• Strong clinical skills and restorative care approach.
• Knowledge of nursing home regulations and compliance standards.
• Excellent organization, communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all nursing services in accordance with company, state, and federal guidelines.
• Manage recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and performance of nursing staff.
• Step in on the floor to support direct care and maintain high-quality care.
• Approve payroll submissions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Monitor resident records for accuracy and appropriate documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to create individualized care plans.
• Ensure nursing staff have timely access to equipment and supplies.
• Lead, mentor, and support nursing staff to improve performance and outcomes.
