Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered RN license in Texas.
• Minimum of one year of supervisory experience in healthcare.
• Working knowledge of long-term care regulations.
• Ability to work independently and manage under pressure.
• Compassionate, patient- and family-centered approach.

Responsibilities

• Direct nursing operations to meet federal, state, and regulatory standards and keep the facility survey-ready.
• Lead the nursing management team and promote ownership of quality goals across the department.
• Oversee quality assessment and improvement of nursing care delivery and keep the Administrator informed.
• Develop and implement plans of action supporting resident assessments and care plans.
• Make daily rounds to confirm care standards and monitor safety; report incidents promptly.
• Audit charts for accuracy and completeness; identify problems and drive corrective actions.
• Maintain staffing levels through scheduling, assignments, and shift approvals.
• Participate in Infection Control, Quality Assurance, and Utilization Review committees.
• Monitor infection control practices and medication administration at least monthly.
• Review resident complaints and grievances and document resolution actions.
• Monitor weekly skin assessments and wound reports.
• Participate in the nursing on-call rotation.
