Job summary

Phillips County Health Systems is seeking a Director of Nursing to lead hospital nursing personnel and uphold high standards of patient care. The DON will ensure regulatory compliance and drive strategic planning across departments.

The role requires a BSN, KS RN license, and at least 5 years of nursing experience with supervisory experience. Certification goals include BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NRP within six months, with potential EMS-compact licensing.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years nursing experience, with 2 years in a supervisory role preferred.
• Required Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and Registered Nurse (KS) license.
• Must obtain or complete BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NRP within six months; ability to obtain a Compact License within six months (EMS certification acceptable).
• Other certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all hospital nursing personnel, with ultimate authority resting with the Director of Nursing.
• Delegate responsibilities as needed while ensuring high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and strategic planning.
• Promote professional development of nursing staff across the organization.
