Job summary
WeCare Centers in New Castle, Pennsylvania, is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our skilled nursing team and ensure the delivery of high-quality resident care. The DON will oversee clinical services, ensure regulatory compliance, mentor nursing leadership, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to promote excellence, staff engagement, and patient outcomes.
Ideal candidates hold an active RN license with at least two years of nursing leadership in long-term care,
Qualifications
- Active RN license is required.
- Minimum 2 years of nursing leadership in skilled nursing/long-term care.
- Strong knowledge of CMS and state regulatory requirements.
- Proven leadership and ability to build teams.
- Excellent communication, organization and problem-solving skills.
- DON or ADON experience strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee nursing operations and clinical services.
- Ensure quality resident care and regulatory compliance.
- Supervise, develop, and support nursing leadership and staff.
- Monitor staffing, clinical outcomes, documentation, and care standards.
- Participate in QAPI, surveys, audits and performance improvement.
- Partner with the Administrator and interdisciplinary team.
- Promote staff accountability, retention, and a positive workplace culture.
