Job summary

Journey is seeking a Director of Nursing in Georgia to lead the Care Team and ensure outstanding resident care. You will collaborate with the Executive Director and leadership to drive clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and staff development.

The role requires an active RN license, 5+ years of clinical experience with supervisory background in long-term care; you will oversee nursing operations, care plans, rounds, and CQI initiatives while maintaining open communication with residents

Qualifications

• Current RN license by State Board of Nursing required.
• Experience in long-term care or geriatric population preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of clinical experience with at least two years supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing department, ensuring compliance with policies, regulations, and best practices.
• Direct staff management, including hiring, training, scheduling, and professional development.
• Assumes responsibility for the center in the Executive Director’s absence.
• Develops and implements care plans that promote residents’ highest level of functioning.
• Conducts rounds, ensures accurate medical records, and leads the care planning committee.
• Monitors and improves resident outcomes through Continuous Quality Improvement initiatives.
• Maintains open communication with residents, families, healthcare providers, and staff.
• Ensures infection control practices and adherence to safety standards.
