Job summary

Clearwater is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) to oversee the nursing department, provide direct resident care as needed, and ensure high-quality clinical leadership. The DON will supervise the ADON and entire nursing staff, maintain regulatory compliance, and lead budgeting, QA, and care planning processes.

The role requires a BSN (preferred), 7+ years of nurse management experience, and proficiency with PCC and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred; must be in good standing with State Board of Nursing and maintain continuing education/licensing.
• Minimum of 7 years nurse management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the entire nursing department and staffing levels.
• Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures; ensure compliance.
• Ensure resident safety and respectful treatment of all residents.
• Coordinate MDS and care planning.
• Conduct employee appraisals and resolve disciplinary actions.
• Recruit, hire and train nursing staff; manage budgeting and reporting for the department.
