Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include graduation from an Accredited School of Nursing with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred (BSN).
• Must be in good standing with the State Board of Nursing and maintain continuing education/licensing requirements.
• Minimum of 7 years nurse management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and supervise the nursing department and staffing levels.
• Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures and ensure compliance.
• Ensure resident safety and that residents are treated with utmost respect.
• Coordinate MDS and care planning.
• Recruit, hire and train nursing staff.
• Manage QA, Utilization Review and Patient Care conferences.
• Maintain confidentiality of employee and resident information at all times.
• Provide direct hands-on resident care as needed.
