United Cerebral Palsy Heartland in Berkeley, MO is seeking a Director of Nursing to lead the nursing team and oversee clinical coordination across all service lines. This role ensures the health, safety, and well-being of clients while driving regulatory compliance and staff development.

The Director of Nursing will supervise scheduling, training, and performance evaluations, oversee medication management, and collaborate with medical professionals to ensure coordinated care.

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited institution.
• Active MO RN license.
• 1+ year experience with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Ability to lift and transfer adults >150 lbs with mechanical support.
• Proficient with electronic health records (EHR/EMAR).

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the nursing team; scheduling, evaluations, and training.
• Oversee medication management across all service lines.
• Review medical documentation for accuracy, compliance and quality of care.
• Develop and implement policies to support client health and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with medical professionals, pharmacies, and external care providers.
• Ensure timely incident reporting and participate in investigations and mortality reviews.
• Participate in CARE TEAM meetings with clinical input.
• Use EHR/EMAR for documentation and manage budgets for nursing services.
• Provide clinical training including Level 1 Medication Administration.
• Review medical records for potential client admissions.
