Job summary

The Laurels of Galesburg seeks a Director of Nursing (DON) to lead and coordinate the nursing department, guiding the overall direction of nursing care for residents. You will supervise RNs, LPNs and STNA/CNAs, ensuring high-quality services and compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• RN licensed in the state where the facility operates.
• Experience as DON or in nursing leadership in long-term care.
• Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid regulations and reimbursement systems.
• Experience with budgeting and staffing management.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and perform resident rounds to monitor care quality.
• Ensure proper charting and documentation of care, medications and treatments.
• Participate in budgeting and manage nursing supplies, equipment and staffing budgets.
• Maintain knowledge of managed care and state regulations.
• Contribute to Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement initiatives.
