Job summary

Outfield Healthcare Partners in Alamogordo, NM, seeks a Director of Nursing (DON) to oversee nursing services, ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines, and provide 24/7 supervision. The DON will direct the Nursing Department to maintain high standards of care, acting in the administrator's absence to support center operations.

The role requires RN licensure and strong leadership, with responsibilities spanning assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation under state nurse

Qualifications

• Must hold registered nurse licensure and be in good standing.
• Experience in nursing leadership and supervision of a nursing team.
• Ability to interpret and apply state nurse practice acts and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate total care plans for each resident in line with physician orders and regulatory requirements.
• Model and enforce policies and procedures; supervise nursing staff and monitor practice.
• Participate in admissions decisions and assess prospective residents.
• Lead management team meetings to review resident status, census, personnel, and concerns.
• Perform other duties as assigned with notice as needed.
