Courtyard Rehabilitation and Healthcare is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) to lead clinical operations, mentor staff, and ensure excellence in resident care at our facility. You will oversee policy adherence, education programs, budgeting, and quality initiatives, stepping in for the Executive Director when needed.

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered RN license in the state.
• RN Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum two (2) years of leadership experience in nursing services administration.
• Experience in a healthcare setting serving the same age/type of resident population.
• Strong knowledge of nursing management, planning, budgeting, and regulatory compliance.
• Familiarity with accreditation standards and state/federal healthcare regulations.
• Proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing nursing team.
• Compassionate, dedicated, and committed to excellence in resident care.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing education, mentorship, and leadership development to clinical staff.
• Ensure high-quality, efficient, and safe patient care per policies and regs.
• Set and monitor departmental goals aligned with nursing ethics and standards.
• Recruit, hire, and retain nursing talent with staffing compliance.
• Develop and implement competency/skills checklists for nursing staff.
• Prepare and manage the nursing department's annual operating budget.
• Maintain current policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Team for holistic, person-centered care.
• Ensure compliance with resident rights and resolve grievances.
• Drive innovation and process improvements to enhance outcomes and efficiency.
