Job summary

Aston Health is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing team in delivering exceptional resident care and achieving strong clinical outcomes in Tampa, FL. The DON will oversee nursing operations, support staff development, and promote a collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities include policy development, budgeting, on-call scheduling, and inter-disciplinary collaboration to improve quality of care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required.
• Current RN licensure required.
• Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in a skilled nursing facility.
• Participation in the on-call schedule is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all nursing care operations within the facility.
• Develop, implement, and uphold nursing policies and procedures to ensure high standards of care and regulatory compliance.
• Mentor, coach, and support the nursing team through regular feedback and performance evaluations.
• Foster a positive, collaborative, and supportive work culture.
• Ensure nursing staff maintain required licensure and certifications.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to enhance resident care and operational outcomes.
• Analyze patient care data to guide quality improvement efforts.
• Manage departmental budgets and allocate resources effectively.
• Work with facility leadership to achieve clinical and organizational goals.
• Ensure residents consistently receive compassionate, high-quality nursing care.
