Otterbein SeniorLife in Michigan seeks a Director of Nursing (DON) to lead the nursing team across all care levels and ensure high-quality resident care. You will partner with physicians and staff to implement policies, manage the department budget, and advance patient-centered care aligned with Otterbein's mission.

This senior leadership role requires RN licensure and several years of nursing leadership experience; strong communication and operational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of approved nursing program.
• Valid Ohio RN license.
• Five years nursing leadership experience preferred.
• Strong clinical, communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality care 24 hours through scheduling and supervision.
• Oversee day-to-day nursing department operations across all levels of care.
• Develop and update policies and procedures for licensed areas.
• Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists and health care team to ensure exceptional care.
• Engage with residents and families to address concerns and needs.
• Lead assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation processes.
• Implement systems to meet medical, psychosocial, emotional, and spiritual needs.
• Manage the nursing department budget and lead QA/improvement efforts.
• Coach and develop staff to create the Otterbein Experience.
