Job summary

Oak Village Healthcare in Oaktown, IN seeks a Director of Nursing (DON) to lead the nursing department and ensure high-quality resident care. You will oversee clinical operations, staff supervision, and interdisciplinary collaboration in a skilled nursing facility setting.

The DON will monitor care delivery, drive quality outcomes, and maintain regulatory readiness while supporting a compassionate, patient-centered team culture.

Qualifications

• Active Indiana RN license is required.
• Minimum of 1 year nursing leadership experience in long-term care.
• Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations for skilled nursing facilities.
• Experience with geriatric populations preferred.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct the overall operation of the nursing department, ensuring high standards of resident care.
• Assign and supervise nursing staff to meet resident needs.
• Monitor care delivery and follow up on results to ensure quality outcomes.
• Communicate significant changes in resident condition to physicians and residents’ families or responsible parties.
• Foster a positive and supportive environment for staff, residents, and families.
• Serve as a clinical resource for residents, families, and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Ensure compliance with applicable state and federal regulations.
• Support quality improvement and regulatory readiness initiatives.
