Gateway Post Acute is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) to oversee the nursing department, supervise staff, and provide direct resident care as needed. The DON will ensure compliance with policies, supervise staffing, and coordinate with physicians and families to maintain high-quality resident care.

Ideal candidates hold a BSN with ongoing education, have strong leadership and communication skills, and possess extensive experience in nurse management.

Competenze

• BSN preferred and must be in good standing with the State Board of Nursing.
• Minimum 7 years nurse management experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and PCC software.

Mansioni

• Oversee and manage the entire nursing department and staffing levels.
• Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures and ensure compliance.
• Ensure resident safety and that residents are treated with respect.
• Recruit, hire and train nursing staff.
• Coordinate pharmacy services and destruction of expired/discontinued medication.
• Liaise between the facility, physicians and family members.
• Coordinate MDS and care planning.
• Conduct employee appraisals and manage disciplinary actions.
