Summary

Responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and managing resources for eICU on a twenty-four (24) hour basis. These responsibilities include:

• Budget responsibility
• Efficient/effective resource utilization
• Recruitment and management of staff
• Achieving quality outcomes
• Performance improvement
• Monitoring quality and service quantity
• Maintaining positive relationships with staff and departments
• Purchasing and maintaining equipment

Completes established competencies within the introductory period. Other duties as assigned.

Education

• Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• Preferred: Master's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare, or Business Administration

Experience

Certifications

• Required: Current Texas RN license
• Preferred: ANCC in Nursing Administration or CCRN

Courses/Certifications

• Active healthcare provider BLS (ARC or AHA) on hire
• AHA ACLS within 60 days of hire or transfer
