JOB SUMMARY
Provides clinical and administrative support to staff providing direct/indirect care to patients on a specific unit/units. Responsible on a 24-hour basis for the programmatic, operational and financial management of the unit/program. Interviews, hires, assigns work to and evaluates work performance of employees supervised. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital.
Work is primarily performed in the patient care setting. Lifting, bending, stooping and exposure to bodily fluids involved.
This position has been evaluated as a Level 1 in accordance with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) definition of occupational exposure to blood borne pathogens.
Level I Positions in this category require the performance of tasks which involve exposure to blood and potentially infectious body fluids.

QUALIFICATIONS
Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse. Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) required for all candidates hired, or promoted after January 1, 2009.
Minimum of two years of experience as an R.N.
ICU experience highly preferred.
