Job summary

Healthcare Nursing Center in Tipton, Indiana is hiring a Director of Nursing (DON) to lead nursing services, supervise staff, and ensure high-quality resident care. This is a hands-on leadership role for an experienced RN who can balance clinical excellence with compassionate resident engagement.

The DON will coordinate an interdisciplinary team, ensure regulatory compliance, oversee dementia care initiatives, manage staffing and budgeting, and drive staff development and quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Current valid RN license in the state of the facility.
• Minimum 1 year experience in nursing service administration.
• Strong knowledge of state, federal and local long-term care regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead nursing operations and act as active member of the interdisciplinary team.
• Plan and participate in budgeting for nursing services.
• Ensure residents receive skilled nursing and rehabilitation services as needed.
• Recruit, supervise, and discipline nursing staff; manage staffing and terminations as necessary.
• Oversee dementia care programs and staff development initiatives.
