Knollwood Community in Washington, DC, is a nonprofit life plan community operated by The Army Distaff Foundation. We serve retired military and their families, with independent living, assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing on one campus.

Our leadership team directs nursing personnel, sets evidence-based standards, and drives quality improvement, infection control, and survey readiness; 24-hour RN coverage is provided daily.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted RN license in DC; District not a Nurse Licensure Compact jurisdiction.
• Five years of progressive nursing leadership, at least three in long-term care or life plan communities.
• Strong depth in quality improvement and infection prevention, with knowledge of 42 CFR Part 483 and DC 22-B standards.
• Experience supervising a bargaining-unit nursing workforce; MatrixCare, MDS/RAI and PBJ ownership preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct all nursing personnel and set evidence-based clinical standards.
• Lead QAPI and infection prevention and maintain survey readiness.
• Execute Plan of Correction and ensure staffing model meets District coverage/hours daily.
• Own 24-hour RN coverage and reduce voluntary turnover as a leadership metric.
