Job summary

Aston Group is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing team and drive exceptional resident care in a Florida facility.

The DON will oversee nursing operations, ensure regulatory compliance, mentor staff, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve outcomes. Strong leadership, budgeting, and EHR skills are essential, with on‑call duties and potential night/weekend work.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
Current RN licensure.
Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in a skilled nursing facility.
Participation in the on‑call schedule is required.
May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
Strong knowledge of nursing regulations, compliance, and best practices.

Responsibilities

Lead and oversee all nursing care operations within the facility.
Develop, implement, and uphold nursing policies and procedures to ensure high standards of care and regulatory compliance.
Mentor, coach, and support the nursing team through regular feedback and performance evaluations.
Foster a positive, collaborative, and supportive work culture.
Ensure nursing staff maintain required licensure and certifications.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to enhance resident care and operational outcomes.
Analyze patient care data to guide quality improvement efforts.
Manage departmental budgets and allocate resources effectively.
Work with facility leadership to achieve clinical and organizational goals.
