Job summary

Santa Monica Healthcare Center is seeking a Nursing Director to plan, coordinate, and manage the nursing department. Responsible for overall direction and evaluation of nursing care, and ensuring services meet company and regulatory standards. May assume daily operations in the Administrator’s absence.

The role requires RN licensure, BSN preferred, CPR certification, and 2–3 years of supervisory experience in long-term or geriatric care. Strong leadership and budget oversight are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
• 2-3 years of management or supervisory experience in long-term care, acute care, restorative or geriatric nursing preferred.
• Valid State licensure as an RN.
• Maintains current CPR certification.
• Additional certification in nursing specialty desired.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing staff with quality and appropriate resident care meeting standards.
• Monitors monthly nursing service performance relative to budget.
• Schedules rounds to evaluate quality and appropriateness of care.
• Maintains charting, documentation of care and medications.
